Simple Geometric Quilting: Errata + Corrections

Despite the many edits and eyes that read over every word in Simple Geometric Quilting, unfortunately a few mistakes slipped by. I so wish I had the time to pattern test every project, but short deadlines allowed for only a few.

I’ve been catching and collecting those mistakes over the past few months and below is a list of corrections. If you find any errors in the book, please bring them to my attention by emailing laura@vacilandoquilting.co and I’ll add them to the list. Thank you for your understanding!

Kalaloch Pillow

  • Page 29: Fabric dimensions for Navy 1 ½” x 10 ½” strips should be 1 ½” x 11” instead. This will give you a little extra wiggle room in the length when cutting your pieced strips.

Antelope Canyon Throw

  • Page 43:

    • Finished dimensions should be 66” x 66”

    • Dimensions of T7 should be 6 ½” x 66 ½”

    • Gold backing fabric yardage should be 4 yards and dimensions should be 70” x WOF

New Mexico Queen Quilt

  • Page 81: Yardage for Natural fabric should be 4 3/4 yards

  • Page 83: The four Gold + Natural HSTs in the Row 2 strips should flipped upside down to create an “arrow” with the Seafoam HSTs in Row 1. See the finished quilt on Page 80 for the proper orientation.

Yuba Crib Quilt

  • Page 104: Step 2.3: “Do the same with the Army Green and Template B” should be “Do the same with the Army Green and Template A”

Oregon Crib Quilt

  • Page 133: The background colors of Yarrow and Spice should be switched - Yarrow is yellow and Spice is red.
